Packing for a January Cruise to the Bahamas

What kind of clothing and how much do you take for a late January early February cruise. We've done a number of August and October cruises but never one in January

We went in November and I took light sweaters/cardigans and capris. I did take 1 pair of shorts.

Went in early Feb to the Bahamas and it was hot. Wore shorts and and we were able to swim. I would carry both just in case.

We've done a couple in February and we're always in short sleeve shirts and shorts. And it has been warm enough to swim

Last year, end of January, I wore shorts, tank top and lightweight long sleeve "athletic type" pullover. It was perfect for early morning because it was a bit breezy, but by 11am, off came the pullover and it was beautiful and warm.

We went last February, during the Presidents week break. We left out of NY during a huge blizzard where over 200 people couldn't get to the ship as the airports were closed.

That said, we left the winter jackets with our son who got us to the pier and enjoyed great weather in the Bahamas for the few days we were there. It was about 80ish and we wore shorts and tees the entire time. We do not beach so I can't say how the water was, but most others on this cruise came back with a nice tan.

Pack summer wear items and I'm sure you will be using them.
