MamaTene Posted January 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Sailing 2 weeks from today and the subject came up last night during our precruise meeting. Is smoking permitted on the balcony of your cabin or suite? Is there an actual lounge area onboard as use to be on many ships? Many folks havent sailed in many years and are inquiring. Thanks much to all the experts.

Rare RLK33853 Posted January 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2015 No to smoking on the balcony. As to the Cigar Lounge - it is a joke on the Royal. In October most of the cigar smokers congregated in the smoking area at the rear of Deck 17 (Sun Deck) due to the awful lounge. No one ever said anything and it appeared to be accepted as this is a designated smoking area and it is away from the public areas.
