We will be taking our first X cruise and really looking forward to the beautiful Eclipse ship and decided to spring for Aqua...as the reviews sound very nice. Have seen reference to priority boarding. We will be embarking at Southhampton, UK and wondered ..is there a different checkin line we get into at the dock area? Never been to that port before and still not sure which pier Eclipse will be at...just know its a very large port! Thanks in advance for any info.

The celebrity reps will make sure you get in the right line. Just show up at the terminal, leave your tagged bags with the porters who will meet you at curbside and go inside..they are very well organized.

Having said that, there are all kinds of lines set up for different folks and you may find that the line you are sent to is actually the longest. The reality is that anyone can handle your boarding and there is no real advantage to being in one line or the other, unless you are one of the top suites.

Southampton is pretty easy for embarking. You pass through Security, then are directed to the various check-in lines for Suites, Aqua, Concierge, etc.

You may be told that there will be boarding by decks, a common scheme in Southampton. This is a means to spread out the boarding process, to keep everyone from coming at the same time. If you have already set your travel plans and would arrive at the port earlier (or later) than your requested time, don't fret. They won't turn you away if you are early.
