Self carry disembark

Our flight times for our return home were changed by the airline. We now have either 10 am or 3 pm. We always do self disembark, does anyone know if there will be a major problem if we choose the 10am flight? we are on the 4/5 - 4/12 cruise (we dock on Sunday) we have no problem catching a cab to get to Newark Airport, but just wanted someone else's opinion.

 

how early were former cruisers able to leave the ship?

You should not have any problem with the 10am flight, I was on the Jan 3rd

sailing and we left our cabin at 6:40am took the elevator to the 5th floor,

walked off the ship, passed customs, walked to my truck, loaded our luggage

and was on the road by 7am

Same here for our 12/12 sailing. Back on 440 by 7:10. Our tags would have had us leaving at 8:45. By the time we would have been out of customs, around 9 ish, we were 2/3rds across CT. Well worth it. Especially since there is no priority disembark beyond Pinnacle (well on our cruise there wasn't...not sure if they've added it since).

thank you very, very much for this information! We will be taking the 10am flight home. You just made us feel much more comfortable with this flight.
