Excursions on Princess

Looking over excursions on our Princess cruise for pre pay trips it states size 45 passengers 20 seats available. Question does Princess add another tour if one fills up?

They may. It depends on availability of guides and equipment and the capacity of the site(s) to be visited. Probably also depends on number on the wait list. If only a few they are less likely to add another group

You'll find that upwards of 90% of Princess excursions list the number 20. :rolleyes: Well perhaps not that many, but a lot!

 

I've learned, like you, to check the capacity of the vessel being used for the tour. But sometimes they use more than one of those too.....

Another thing to consider is that you can book excursions without paying (you get charged only after you get on the ship and that's usually around the time of that port stay). So many times people will go ahead and reserve some excursions and then cancel before the deadline, which is very easy to do (you just put the envelope with the tickets in the box by the shore excursions desk). So sometimes it's possible enough will cancel and those on the waitlist get moved up.
