hockeyluver Posted February 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Does anyone recently on the Breeze recall if there is a hdmi input on the tv? I was thinking of bringing the cord to hook my tablet up to watch the movies from my tablet. Thanks for any help :)
PortSideCruzan Posted February 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Hi Hockeyluver :) There is an hdmi slot on the Viewsonic tv's aboard the Breeze, however.. I (think), the television is locked in a way that leaves you with no option to choose source inputs. Hopefully someone else can confirm that. I apologize that I am not 100% certain. :) Edited February 1, 2015 by PortSideCruzan
Kokomo_Man Posted February 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Carnival has rules against hooking anything to their TV. On my last cruise, my SIL brought a game system with him and they had something of a "fit" as we went through security saying they wouldn't allow it because of Carnival's rules. Since he had researched it and even called Carnival, he brought his own small TV to hook up to. He had a small suitcase dedicated to just his game stuff & TV. While the security folks didn't know what to make of that. Carnival has no rule about hooking up to your own TV. We had to convince security and they started making calls. In the end, he was able to bring it all on board. All that said... since you are using a tablet, if you can get the TV to accept the HDMI input, I'm not sure how they would know in the privacy of your own room. kelkel2 Posted February 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Can't remember which reviewer, but I remember reading a detailed review and the reviewer specifically stated they tried to do what you are hoping to do and couldn't do it. Carnival has some sort of block on the TV.

pamwigs Posted February 9, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 9, 2015 Most ships are like hotels. They have any inputs disconnected on the TV's for liability reasons. They don't want you messing up their TV and they don't want you to mess up your electronics.
cmptrwiz Posted February 9, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 9, 2015 I'm not sure how serious you are, but you could buy a cheap universal remote and program it to work with their TV. Make sure the remote has an input selector button.
