Soccer Mom 96 Posted February 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Hi! I am sailing in about 6 weeks on the Epic. Can someone that has sailed recently (Western Itin) help me with the Howl at the Moon? Do they have the dueling pianos every night? If not, what nights is it there? Any information about Howl at the Moon would be appreciated! Thanks! Soccer Mom
moosecrouse Posted February 2, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Wasn't every night. Think it was done 3x. Remember one night was Saturday but can't remember the other nights.
lbrandon Posted February 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2015 It was 3 or 4 nights during the week.
LrgPizza Posted February 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2015 (edited) On our November cruise it was 4 nights, for approximately 4 or 5 hours each time. There are no reservations, since it isn't really a show, but live music in a bar. People just come and go as they please. It's a lot of fun. Unlike the Howl at the Moon bars on land, this one doesn't have a dance floor, and allows children, although they recommend they are out of there by 11, because it can start to get a bit raunchy, depending on who the entertainers are on that particular cruise. Soccer Mom 96 Posted February 2, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted February 2, 2015 Thanks! It helps to know we don't have to make reservations in advance. One other question...although we can make reservations for Second City, do we really need to? It seems to be offered every night at several times each night. Thanks again! You do need ressies for Second City because all their shows are held in Headliners, which was a small venue. Also, if you don't get there early to reserve a good seat, you'll wind up sitting towards the middle or back and you can't see anything from those areas. I found Headliners to be terrible venue for shows like this. debbie
drvalo Posted February 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2015 One other question...although we can make reservations for Second City, do we really need to? It seems to be offered every night at several times each night. Thanks again! We never made a reservation, but they sort of do as you enter the bar. They asked if we had them, but then just scanned our card and it showed up as reservations on our account. We were never asked to wait. They just admitted us. Can't say if that is normal, but we didn't have a problem just showing up. Also the SC shows repeat. They are a little bit different, but the sketch show(as opposed to the improve shows) was exactly the same and very similar to the sketch show on other ships.
