kbgolfstud Posted February 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2015 We are from California and will be joining the Oceania Marina on the 16 day south pacific cruise embarking on feb 28th 2015. Wondering if there are any like passengers who would like to share ideas/thoughts etc before and during the cruise---eg what type of land excursions etc to pre-book or just chance it and book with independent operators at the various ports of call:)

We have cruised a lot but never on Oceania. Also from California. Going to Auckland on the 24th before the cruise.
Mura Posted February 6, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2015 If you are like us you will enjoy Auckland very much. We also found the New Zealanders to be very friendly people. Waiting for our flight at LAX we got to talking with a couple of them and they were delightful. We had seats in back of each other on the flight but the gentleman sitting next to my husband immediately switched seats so we could be together. He also apologized - APOLOGIZED - because he had to go to work once we landed in Auckland so that he wouldn't be able to give us a tour. We only had two full days there and could have used more.
