Has anyone ever transferred bookings between travel agents?

I have a sold out room category and don't want to lose my booking. Just wondering if anyone has successfully transferred a booking from one travel agency to another. I did not book through celebrity.

Since your existing agent actually owns the booking, it is he who will need to organise the transfer..

I guess it is possible but the original TA will have to release it plus they may charge you a fee. There are a few TAs that charge $50 pp or more for any cancelation or change in reservation.
