About to book on liberty of the seas leaving march 19th from fort lauderdale, going to cozumel for a day. 4 day cruise

gonna fly in the day before, and stay at a hotel.

Is there anything I should be aware of before i book?

Also, what free things are there to do in cozumel?

BTW, i dont have a passport, but i intend on using a birth certificate and non-drivers Id from DMV, should be fine right?

When you book and select a cabin, be sure to look at the deck above and the deck below for anything that can cause noise. Don't get above or below the casino or some of the clubs, the theater, etc. Also directly below the pool or solarium, or windjammer can have some chair scraping noises.

As pappa said, I usually book deck seven, even though it costs a few more dollars. cabins above, cabins below. Two flights of stairs to the lido deck up, two flights of stairs down to the promanade, where everything goes on at night. Some cruises, the elevators take forever, and I live on the stairways. I also avoid a room near the elevators (light sleeper), I don't mind the walk down the hall, burns calories. Midship, deck seven is a good choice inside or balcony.

To each their own, but we always buy insurance. We had a "never" event, a house fire two weeks prior to cruising, sure we could have gone in the chaos, but had no ID. We only paid a $50 penalty. That was priceless. You never know what life will bring you.
