What is the drink you would recommend for a new visitor to Cozumel to try?

Top shelf tequila neat.

 

Don't ruin it by mixing it with anything or using lime or salt. it is meant to be sip slowly.

Xtabentun Mayan liquor. I drink neat (with ice) or with pineapple juice. Is also served as Mayan coffee in some restaurants.

When in Mexico, I always drink a Chelada. It's lime juice and beer on ice with a salted rim. If you prefer, you can have a Michelada which is a Chelada with spices. Both are absolutely delicious. Hard to get in the US because bars use Rosa's Lime which is sweetened so not the same. I'm ready for my Chelada day on Cozume.
