Real Stupid Question, is There a MDR?

I have just booked an Anthem maiden voyage cruise after being away from RCCL for a while ( we are Diamond) so am a bit behind the times.

 

I understand the DD concept, but is this in addition to MTD in the MDR or do the different venues replace the MDR?

 

Also I have read about an App for making reservations , is that available only after boarding?

No, there is no main dining room on Quantum/Anthem. You have to choose between one of the four Dynamic Dining restaurants (American Icon Grille, Silk, Chic, The Grande) for each night.

Or wait another 3 or 4 weeks and sign up for early or late 'rotational' dining

The royal iq app can only used once on ship. It can be downloaded before hand.

You can reserve online now though if you log into your cruise planner.

 

Also there are five free restaurants (assuming you're not in a suite), Devinly Decadence (aka Solarium Bistro) is also complimentary. Plus the buffet, cafe, hot dog place and Sorrentos pizza, these do not take reservations.

We are in a Junior Suite, does that count for the restaurant solely for suite guests (sorry, don't know what it is called!)

It´s been said that Coastal Kitchen is open for Junior Suites too on Quantum (Anthem), not on Oasis. Not sure whether they have changed that... too many changes right now...
