non-CC room service breakfast

Hi all. Thanks to Chris and the post about the CC breakfast, I know how the other half lives. Does anyone have a copy of the regular breakfast menu? X’s website says ‘continental’ but doesn’t specify if it is the European or American version. I appreciate the info. My email is shwoodaas@netzero.com. Thanks!

Even if something is not on the breakfast room service menu I have found that you can write it in and get it!

Not always. I requested a bowl of fresh berries for breakfast through room service and they told me they couldn't meet my request.I also wrote in eggs benedict for my husband and he just got plain eggs. The regular room service menu is pretty limited.

Continental breakfast in the USA is juice, coffee & danish

It has scrambled eggs, toast, cereals, milk, juices, grapefruit, danish, coffee on regular menu. I may have missed some.

 

If you ask for delivery after main dining room starts serving you may request things from that menu also.

Thanks to everyone for their responses. The breakfast menu sounds adequate. The difference in pricing between a 2B (I got one with a larger balcony) and a CC is about $30/day. I’m still debating making a switch and this info helped.

Our price to go from a standard balcony cabin to a CC was only $40 pp total for the week. This was a no-brainer for us.

We ordered anything we wanted form room service. With the exception of teh smoothies..we got it all. I do not know if that was due to our bring in a sky suite, but I think others also got what they requested.

Thanks for asking the question. We are booked on our first Celeb cruise for Oct 2006 (we're HAL traitors) because we loved the itinerary and had heard great things about the service. To be honest one of the reasons that we had avoided Celeb was the cc class system. On other lines it seems that if you want something for breakfast that's not on the menue you write it in and its no problem. To us it was not worth the $1000 difference between a 2B with a bigger balcony and eggs bennny on the balcony.

I'm still going to write it in on a lazy day and see what happens!!!
