Capri73 Posted February 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2015 I just received my Conde Nast Travel magazine. It had a add for Silversea stating that it is now all inclusive including all side trips. Now completing with Regent.
secoma4 Posted February 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Probably a reaction to the poor reviews they have been receiving on forums like this.
Travelcat2 Posted February 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Have to laugh about this as many long Regent customers intensely dislike included excursions (it would be different if we could opt out). On the up side, it will be a draw for many newbies.
brimary Posted February 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Much will depend on whether the newbies exceed the number of loyal clients SS will lose.
mpfund Posted February 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2015 This same message was posted on the Seabourn board and corrected there. Included excursions are only for selected Med cruises, and are only the "drive by" type.
Capri73 Posted February 22, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Yes I was wrong but as I said there it leaves the door open for them to expand this .

We looked at what it would mean for our already booked Med cruise, actually a back-to-back, and quickly passed on paying the quoted additional we'd have to pay. Didn't take much analysis to determine it would have cost us way more to pay for the "upgrade" than we would have gained.

You have to pay an additional amount for the so called "included" excursions. This comes under the same heading as 241 cruise fares!
