San Juan Embarkation- CVS Wine

We were on the Carnival Victory 3 yrs ago, and once we arrived at the port, we gave the porters our luggage and then walked down to CVS to get our bottles of wine, and water, walked back to the port and then started the check in process....

 

Question: Is that the only way to get your wine on the ship or can you check in, get on the ship, then go to CVS and return to the ship with your wine/water etc?

 

I remember then not even looking at our wine etc, and in other ports you are nearly strip searched lol.

What cruise line? If Carnival again...sorry dont know. if RC, then yes, you can get on the ship and then get back off to get the wine. Not supposed to work that way...but usually does.

Yes, we checked in and then got back off to walk down to CVS. Just be sure to only have the standard 1 bottle per person when you get back on the ship as you would any other embarkation.
