Cruising on July 4th

This year I am cruising on July 4th and just wanted to know if Carnival did anything special on their ships for July 4th?

We have been on a couple crises on or over the 4th and nothing really special. Maybe a small centerpiece at dinner. No fireworks.

We have been on two cruises over the 4th. On Carnival they had a party on the deck. Started around 9pm, went until after midnight.

They usually give the crew the day off so you will have to wait on youself, make your own bed, and pour you own drinks.

We've sailed a number of times over July 4 and this year's cruise departs on July 4. No, there are no fireworks. However, we have had July 4-themed deck parties, trivia contests, and some special entertainment on July 4. Of course, on three of these cruises we were in port - in current or former British territories, no less.:p

 

ETA: Just checked my cruise list. We've done 6 July 4 cruises with this year's being #7. The only cruise that didn't do at least something for July 4 was our 2013 Carnival Legend cruise - but that was in Europe.

If you want fireworks while cruising, try Disney. They did them on the Dream, wasn't July 4th either.

Last year on the Magic, we had a special deck party. They passed out party favors....beads, sunglasses, noise makers, etc and had special entertainment. There was also a midnight "American Fare" buffet.

 

There may have been special trivia, etc, but we were in Cozumel all day and didn't partake in daytime activities.
