fdpevey Posted March 3, 2015 #27 Share Posted March 3, 2015 LOVED the Viking Crown Lounge - what a wonderful place to relax and watch the sunset with a nice drink before dinner. So sad it's been turned into restricted access with the Oasis refit.

Oak Hill Cruisers Posted March 3, 2015 #30 Share Posted March 3, 2015 After the Diamond lounges, doing laps on the exercise decks or the promenade decks. Also, reading our Kindles on a deck chair on the promenade decks.

Chillshark Posted March 3, 2015 #32 Share Posted March 3, 2015 1. Helipad late at night after everyone's gone to bed. It's so dark you can see a zillion stars. 2. Solarium - great place for a nap - so quiet and relaxing. 3. Any outside place at sail away with a drink in hand - vacation is just beginning! sg1phileshipper Posted March 3, 2015 Author #36 Share Posted March 3, 2015 The balcony for watching the sea... The pool deck for watching the people... I thought I was the only one watching the people. I do that everywhere, behind my sunglasses so they don't notice I'm watching them. Glad I am not alone :D Cibdy Verzonden vanaf mijn iPad met Tapatalk
Elvis1209 Posted March 3, 2015 #37 Share Posted March 3, 2015 1. The Champagne Bar. No one makes a martini like them! 2. The Cigar Lounge. Having a cigar and a cognac brings me back to the grand old age of ocean travel, a la "Titanic"! 3. My balcony. It's just me and the sea! Dave4120 Posted March 3, 2015 #38 Share Posted March 3, 2015 We love so many different areas of the ships, however, my favorite spot is sitting outside on the promenade deck doing absolutely nothing. Hard to describe, but for me...I can sit out there for hours and hours, and become basically brain dead. I don't care about a darn thing. And, when the ship is moving, that breeze, and, the sound of the ocean just clears my head so I never want to move. I don't care if the ship ever stopped at a port. It could go around in a circle for days and I wouldn't care. Obviously, my better half isn't of the same opinion. I guess there are times when my opinion of a vacation is total rest with no moving or thinking, and sometimes it is obviously to explore and be very active which we are. However, I do love just sitting outside where it's so quiet. Dave
Daghis Posted March 3, 2015 #39 Share Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Viking Crown lounge — I love the view from there during the day. It's a great place to get away and relax. Royal Promenade — I've always enjoyed the Royal Promenade for the variety of shops, bars, and generally good places for people watching. That's why I like Promenade cabins. Vintages (Oasis class) — The ambience in here is very peaceful, plus I like the tapas menu they have. Edited March 3, 2015 by Daghis
