The ONLY purpose of this thread is for those who are wanting to keep track of the latest information on where the smoking areas will be located.

Nothing else!

Attacks from anti-smokers (or smokers) will not be tolerated. Opinions are not necessary and off-topic. Anyone attempting to agitate others or stir the pot will be ignored and no responses will be given. I encourage others to do the same so we can keep this thread from being deleted.

Please keep to the topic at hand.

Thus far the smoking areas are the casino, casino bar and deck 11 aft. If anyone gets any new information, please feel free to post on here.

Thank you.

Since many of the restaurants have al fresco dining on the Lanai, the only smoking areas will be (unless something changes):

Deck 11 forward, deck 11 aft. Casino Bar, deck 4 forward

Where did you hear Deck 11 forward? That one is new to me....

John Heald answered me directly.

Deck 11 is the Lido and forward are cabins, that's what has me confused. While I would be thrilled as I have booked a cabin on Deck 11, I am looking at the deck plan and am confused as to where they would put a smoking area.

I hope John is right!

The last information given to our smokers group by Mischelle Beattie Cocchera of CCL is that Vista has only two areas on the entire ship, Deck 11, aft only, and Casino Bar on Deck 4. Nothing else.

Fyi, if posts here are disrupting your thread you can use the red triangle in the upper right corner of the post to report it, it is a guideline violation to go off topic or be disruptive. :)

Do you know when JH said that? It just says "2 minutes ago". There has been some conflicting information between what he has said and what others who claim to be CCL employees have posted.

I croppped out my personal info., he answered me last Saturday morning. Check John Heald's "Posts to page". I've attached a more complete snapshot :)

Likely Mischelle has it right :) As BaseballMomof4 said, where would they put a smoking area on Deck 11 forward?

They could do it like they do on the other ships - not necessarily all the way forward, but the deck above the Lido pool on the Starboard side.

This was just posted on Facebook on the Carnival Smokers and Friends of Smokers: Where Can We Smoke Now? page by Mischelle Beattie Coccera‎

"Hi Everyone,

Just a quick update. You all had asked me a couple of weeks ago if there was any changes to the existing smoking areas and apparently there has been a minor change. We have moved the outdoor smoking areas on deck 11 from the Port side to the Starboard side. I believe most ships were already on Starboard side with the exception of the Magic, Breeze and Dream (which changed a while back). Magic and Dream have already swap sides and the Breeze will move from Port side to Starboard the first week of April. The new Carnival Vista will also have outdoor smoking area on deck 11 Starboard side."

baseballmom - Do you know if it is the entire length of starboard Deck 11? I ask because we specifically booked a starboard deck 11 balcony cabin (on the Breeze) to avoid the port side smoke drifting. We are located only a few cabins from the outdoor area and my mom likes her balcony naps but also has a strong sense of smell and I hope that this doesn't interfere with her enjoyment of her vacation.

Weird I just checked the Vista deck plan and there is an outdoor play area for Camp Ocean located on Deck 11. I wonder if they plan on not having that area any longer or not having it on the starboard side? I would think they would not want any smoking areas near the kids.

I thought the same thing, but then I looked at the deck plan and I think it may be in the same area as on other ships, over the Lido pool area, which is a bit forward of the proposed play area. I am actually hoping that's where it will be as I have a deck 10 balcony and that would be super easy to get to. I have asked for clarification over on facebook, I will let you know if I get it.

Mischelle is waiting for the ship maps and will post as soon as she gets them. She believes it will be as it is on other ships, above the Lido pool area on the starboard side.

The aft part of deck 11 looks to be behind the play area more like overlooking the lower deck and close to the aft elevators on the deck plan.
