cruising maniac Posted March 4, 2015 #26 Share Posted March 4, 2015 I'd like to listen to music on my balcony. Thanks. What kind of music? I might want to hear it, too. No, they won't take your music away. This isn't grade school. They might ask you to turn it down and that is okay. Sound probably travels well on the open sea. After 24 cruises, we have learned that we are much more likely to be disturbed by kids running in to halls then by our neighbors music.
Laurie S. Posted March 4, 2015 #27 Share Posted March 4, 2015 I'll just turn my music up louder than yours. ;)
LostPuppy Posted March 4, 2015 #28 Share Posted March 4, 2015 We've used a bluetooth speaker on our "large-ish" (9C) balcony several times. As long as we keep the volume at a moderate level I don't see this being a problem and plan on doing again in the future.
Karlou Posted March 4, 2015 #29 Share Posted March 4, 2015 My husband loves to listen to music in the late afternoon while gazing out in the distance. I sit beside him and read. It isn't loud at all, but when he notices movement on either side of our balcony, he puts his headphones on. Last cruise (two weeks ago) he brought a new little Bose Bluetooth player that he just loves!
beachbum53 Posted March 4, 2015 #30 Share Posted March 4, 2015 By the way OP, there is another option. The T.V. in the cabin has two or three music channels. It's usually pop or hip-hop (not much of a selection). Prop your balcony door open, turn on one of the music channels on the T.V., and sit near the open doorway so you can hear the music. ;)
