MIA to FLL, is there a bus?

We will need to get from MIA to Fort Lauderdale on 15 December, haven't started looking for a hotel in Fort Lauderdale yet - we are cruising on the 18th. Will the weather be warm enough for the beach or should I look at a hotel elsewhere. :)

Don't think there is a bus to Ft. Lauderdale, but suggest you take Supershuttle from Miami airport to whichever hotel you decide on in Ft. Lauderdale. They run all the time from outside the arrivals hall - look for the supershuttle desk at the kerbside. The weather at that time of year should be good enough for the beach - but it is weather!!! At that time of year, it is not reliable!!

With year round ocean breezes, Fort Lauderdale is almost always warm. Summer temps average in the 80's and 90's, with winter temperatures between 65-75 degrees. Cold snaps (low temperatures in the 40's) do occasionally occur in December and early January, so bring a jacket along just in case. ;)

It's cheaper to rent a car and drive up to Ft. Lauderdale. Drop the car off at FLL when you are finished with it

We are flying into Miami in Jan. and it is cheaper to rent a car and turn it in at the port. We are coming in a day early so will be able to drive around and see that part of the State.

National Car is about 50 a day with a return at the port.

Good hotels on beach - Marriott Harbour Beach - Lago Mar - New Best Western Pelican Beach. Atlantic Hotel. Lesser hotels Holiday Inn just OK - Bahia Mar OK - various others just OK. Pier 66 overlooks port, not far from beach and has lovely pool area - no beach!!

Galleria is a very nice mall just a short taxi ride from all. Walk from Holiday Inn.

Sawgrass Mills, one of the largest outlet malls in US, can be reached by bus. About an hour and a quarter away on bus.
