norwegian gem suite 11518 or 11012

Hi, was wondering if anyone has any experience in either of these two suites 11518 and 11012 on the GEM. please share your experience and pro's and cons.

We've been close in 11006, an SC 2-bedroom suite. It's a good location: quiet and close to spa, gym, and Spinnaker Lounge.

Google is awesome. The first suite appears to be the 2BR suite. If the other is also that, they are the same. And are same on Pearl, Jewel, Gem and Jade.

 

Since folks do not always know suite numbers and room types, it helps us help you to identify them.

I can't check right now but I believe the suites starting with 115 are under the gym ......i think I read something about noise from treadmills..... I could be wrong though

11518 isn't underneath the gym. I'm pretty sure it's below the pool deck. If it's available, I recommend you try for 11006, because it's beneath the library and is extremely quiet.

We booked 11506 after we read reviews of the loudness of the thread mills in 11518. Book the other one. We did a big research on line reading lots of reviews. Not noisy all the time but why take a chance.

As other have pointed out, it is under the fitness center. We had one of the 2-bedroom suites in that area originally booked and when reading about the noise above, we moved to the other side of the ship under the spa. Felt it would be quieter. But be careful that if you do book the other side, you don't get one of the cabins under the grill and pool area. Reports were that they are very noisy, even during the night while staff are moving chairs around cleaning.

We were in 11012 last may and have booked same room for april. Awesome location and never heard any noise. We actually changed weeks so we could get this room again

I would pick 11012.

We have been in 11512 (same suite on the other side of the hallway/ship) now 2 different trips and specifically booked that suite for the great location. Its so convenient to be next to the stairs and elevators and we never heard noise from above or from the hallways. Its an awesome location.
