Lima to New York ports of call

interested in the Oceania cruise from Lima to New York. Am curious if anyone can comment on the ports of call - there seems to be little variety for shore excursions - especially in the central america section of the tour. is this tour more about the scenery or do the ports provide a lot of interesting things to do (even if don't sign up for a specific tour)

 

Alternative cruise would be Rio to Buenos Aires which looks more like a 'beach' trip

I suggest you go to Marina's roll calls and search Lima. You should find leads there. We did Lima/NY 2 years ago and had private tours almost everywhere. It was a wonderful cruise although we sailed into NYC at 4 AM.
