Static events Posted March 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2015 What RCCL ship is sailing from Southampton during the summer of 2016....?:confused:
nelly55 Posted March 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Not been announced yet, plenty of rumours but schedule not due to be announced till later this month. Would LOVE to have Indy back.
Cruisingthesuitelife Posted March 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2015 The rumours are of a Voyager class (poss Navigator) and a Freedom class (poss Indy). I hope that Indy doesn't come back. Given that she only left in November, I would really like a different ship in port. That being said, I'm not keen on Quantum class but would love an Oasis class. Shouldn't be too long before we find out :) Regardless of the ship, I just wish the prices would be lower!
MADflyer Posted March 9, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2015 With Navigator and INDY booked at the ports of Funchal, Gibraltar, Palma, Barcelona, Riviera Ports, Tenerife and La Coruna among others, I would not classify their deployment quite as a rumour, but it is true that these ships official deployments will not be released until the 16th of March. Now, any Ovation of the Seas deployment to Southampton is only rumoured as there is no evidence out there that really supports this claim that I have seen. Cruisingthesuitelife Posted March 9, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2015 But as mentioned in the deployment thread, they could just be place holders. I appreciate with the Caribbean info that has now come out that is looking less likely though!
shipfriend_max Posted March 9, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2015 The press release regarding RCI's 2016/17 caribbean deployment states that both Navigator and Independence otS are only doing WINTER CARIBBEAN cruises in 2016/17. That implies that both ships are deployed elsewhere between May and October. IMHO most likely are Indy and Navi from Southampton - but Ovation and Indy are also possible, and Navigator sailing from Harwich. Ovation surely does Europe in 2016, since she is not expected to sail Caribbean in winter 2016/17.
Static events Posted March 9, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted March 9, 2015 I know it's unlikely but I would like to see an Oasis class ship to sail out of Southampton in the summer of 2016. What I wouldn't like to see is the independence of the seas back... as much as I love that ship I was getting fed up of her.
MADflyer Posted March 10, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Both Indy and Navigator have now had published confirmation of Southampton sailings for 2016.
Cruisingthesuitelife Posted March 10, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 10, 2015 MADflyer, thanks for the info you have provided on this and the other thread. I am so disappointed that it will be same old. Oh well, I'll just keep having to travel long haul for my cruises!

Missus Makkem Posted March 12, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Just seen the Indie and Navigator being advertised on a UK travel site for 2016 with an all inclusive package. Let the fun begin.
gstewart Posted March 12, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Ovation off somewhere else then?
merlindog22 Posted March 12, 2015 #13 Share Posted March 12, 2015 It doesn't look as if anything is going to Harwich, then - what a pity. Such an easy port to use
shipfriend_max Posted March 12, 2015 #14 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Ovation off somewhere else then? Could imagine a direct transfer to Asia/Far East/Australia after debut in spring 2016...
Navigat8 Posted March 12, 2015 #15 Share Posted March 12, 2015 I'm delighted that Independence and Navigator will be in Southampton next year. My biggest problem is how do I persuade my husband that we need to sail on both of them in 2016:D
