paddingtonbear Posted April 7, 2015 #151 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Don't know about Europe but Brits call them face flannels. Some Aussies call them flannels. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
VancouverCruiselover Posted April 7, 2015 #152 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Because things can happen and do happen, I always gift myself OBC, which obviates the need for credit/debit card had holds. It usually works . Yes, me, too. Much less trouble that way.
AmberTeka Posted April 7, 2015 #153 Share Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) Just finished a 5 Day on Caribbean Princess on March 7th. Entertainment was terrible. Food in the dining room was terrible! Buffet was actually better. Internet - slow and unreliable. Casino - Machines tight as hell. Plus virtually no one coming around offering to bring a drink. Passenger Services - pulling so many preauthorizations that CC Company begins to decline due to fraud alert. They then disable my "free" internet because of this. And Casino......if you never win..or even win enough money to play the slots for a while......YOU Quit going. I did. Tight does not even describe it. You might as well handed them your money ..then left. same difference. This was our 7th cruise with them in less than 4 years. We are not retired so to me this is a lot in a short amount of time. We have only sailed with Princess. Another thing...how is it during 1 lunch I can be asked 10 times about the wine tasting that I said no to 9 times prior. Always someone different coming around. Or when I ask for a beverage they ask about wine tasting. Lot of heavy pushing of extra items to buy...worse than ever. Pretty angry at them right now and anyone I talked to @ 800 number didn't seem to care. We received our Platinum pins, and we are retired. I totally agree with you on the food. The Caribbean menu. And if we were told a New menu , heavy on Pork, red beans, black beans, and rice would be substituted for the Old one. We would not have booked. or switched to another Non Caribbean ship. I brought my daughter's family us, and for us, forked out a lot of money to be presented with a menu that had most of the things on it uneatable to us. and I not Jewish. For medical reasons I don't eat a lot of pork. So when the flamer hit... We sail a lot. Not on Princess until they tweak or change that Menu. HAL. We like Carnival. We like NCL. If the New President is trying to make her name with that menu and that food.....Good Luck on that. I do disagree on the entertainment. MoTown. Fiera. and the Unforgettable Boys were all excellent, I thought. Trivia was half hearted and disorganized but...nothing is perfect. CI66774 Posted April 7, 2015 #155 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Where do you think the towels are wiped over? I never use a wash cloth for any reason other than to wash my face in the morning. I never wash my nether regions with it. Wouldn't think to do it. Towels however do dry off many a nether region. :D Oh but yes - those wash clothes do glide over our precious "privacy" areas here in the U.S.! golfb4cruzing Posted April 7, 2015 #156 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Wash cloths are the "paring" knife of the bathing set. They all start out as something larger and wear down with use.
