WeeCountyMan Posted March 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2015 We have $200 OBC for a forthcoming 7 night cruise - resulting from a future cruise booking made previously and military benefit. If I top it up with say (for example) another $150 in cash and don't use it all up - will I be able to get the difference (over and above the original $200) refunded ? WeeCountyMan Posted March 10, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Thanks. I reckoned such would be the case - but you know what they say about assumptions !!!
christydore Posted March 10, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2015 And is it possible to get the OBC refunded as cash on the ship. If so how ?
Working 2 Cruise Posted March 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Not all OBC will be refunded. Only the portion of the unused military OBC can be refunded.
Coveguy4 Posted March 10, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Not all OBC will be refunded. Only the portion of the unused military OBC can be refunded. The question was if additional "purchased OBC" would be refunded, not any available OBC that was on account

cardqb Posted March 10, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 10, 2015 If there is unused OBC that can not be given back as cash, then go to the casino and take out the money there... put your card in a machine, draw from your account and cash out.
JF - retired RRT Posted March 10, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 10, 2015 And is it possible to get the OBC refunded as cash on the ship. If so how ? Easy...go to Passenger Services on the last day before you get to the port. Ask for a breakdown of "refundable" vs. "nonrefundable" (assuming you have both types). The refundable can be given to you in cash right then. They will offer to "put it on your credit card as a refund". Don't do it. They don't put it on your credit card, they MAIL a check. It arrives on a slow boat from china:rolleyes: (takes a month or more). If you have nonrefundable and want to try to get it. Go to the casino as described above and play slots or something. We did this on our last cruise. We had $60 nonrefundable. Played nickle slots for a very brief time and went home with $55.
