Thanks, INCHARGE! That's awesome! How far in advance did you have to book to snag one?

I'm so sorry that I just saw your question.(planning for retirement, so lots going on.) Now that people are finding out about these, they are harder to get. As soon as I saw that the Sunshine had these, I called. The easiest thing for me was to call carnival. I told the lady that I wanted to book the 6K on the Sunshine, and to give me the next available date. This was why we cruised 2 weeks after my usual birthday cruising week. Since we were flexable, it was fine. Let them do the searching, because sometimes 6Ks do not show up on the website. H would love it.

You have an absolutely beautiful family, H. So glad you keep them around. :)

Yippee Skippee, It is my cruise buddy, "H," back with another review. As always, I loved the review and was happy to meet your daddy and your Poppi and Gigi. Happy to see your mommy and grandma again, too.

I'll be praying that your Poppi receives a new liver. My husband received a kidney transplant almost 12 years ago a few days after his 65th birthday, so I hope there is a match soon for you Poppi.

I think you and Mommy and Daddy need to switch that Pride cruise to Nov. 15 so we can cruise together again. This time we can meet and have green eggs and ham together. By then, your mom will have her tenure and she can tell her bosses, "Hey, get someone to teach a few of my classes for the week, I'm going on a cruise so that Calamity Jane doesn't get into any trouble." It will be an act of public service.

See you on the Pride !!

So sorry to hear that your grandfather is sick. I'm already registered to be an organ donor! Hopefully you inspire lots to register too! You inspired me to recommit to making time for quality visits with my friends and family! Sending prayers to your Poppi for the transplant he needs!

Thanks so much for the info. This is definitely a must for us! Also, congratulations on your upcoming retirement! I wish I was planning for that instead of tenure! I guess I'll have to work for a few more years though if I want to live on a cruise ship in retirement. ;) Wishing you LOTS of cruises in yours!

So great to hear from you, Calamity Jane! I like the way you think. ;) Maybe I'll do the Pride in both July AND November. That way I'll know all the things that could get you in trouble and we can make sure we do them! Well, one can dream.

Thanks for your kind words about Poppi. It's always reassuring to hear from those who have had successful transplants. I'm so glad you and your husband are able to continue cruising and I hope Gigi and Poppi will be back on the water real soon!

My best to you and your husband. See you on the Pride! :D

Thank you so much! That really means a lot. Squeeze those loved ones tight and go on as many cruises as you can while you can! And kudos to you for being an organ donor!

OOOPS, I see I forgot to come back to reply to your message. Sorry about that.

That's the spirit, H. Yes, come on and do both July and November. We can have such fun. I know we can give a whole new experience to those at the Green Eggs and Ham breakfast.

So get booked soon and we can make plans.

Thanks for the review! We are taking a toddler on the Sensation in August. He will be 21 months. What's the diaper policy in the splash zone? Also, hey promotion and tenure binder. I'm in that game too.

Very nice review. I enjoyed it quite a bit. My review skills need a little sharpening to keep up with you, little dude!

Most importantly, best wishes to Poppi.

Cherish your time with him, and I hope he gets what he needs soon. I'm already a registered donor, and can only hope it helps someone some day!

Children have to be potty trained before using the splash zone (though there isn't one on Sensation) and Waterworks.

Hi sbeth,

There is a "splash" area where the waterslides end (you can see it in my photo of H and his grandma). H used this area several times (and wasn't potty trained). There weren't any signs saying he couldn't and no one ever said anything to use. If he wasn't allowed to be in there, I had no idea! I, of course, never let him near any of the pools, because I knew those were off limits.

I've got writing and photography in the bag -- now if I could just master the potty. I always appreciate another food porn addict. And we LOVE your website! Thanks so much for reading/drooling. :D

Another great review. I wish I was rich so I could send you on another cruise so I can read another review! Or better yet you can talk your mommy into coming with us on the Magic in October. You would have so much fun playing with my 3 and 4 year olds. And your mommy takes such great beach pictures. I wish I could take such good pictures!

I like the way you think! See you guys in October! In the meantime, look for my next review (of the Pride) coming early July -- free of charge :D

O-M-G! This has got to be THE BEST review I have ever read on CC! Now, I know I'm going to be spending the rest of my day reading your other review (a good excuse for not cleaning house too!). Love, love the way it was written and look forward to reading more adventures from H!

What a coincidence, my mom read cruise reviews instead of cleaning our house yesterday too! :D Thank you so much for your kind words! Look for my next adventure coming mid July.

Best review EVER - H, you made me laugh, you made me smile, you made me cry a bit there at the end even (btw - we're all registered organ donors here!) Most of all though, you made me look forward to our next cruise. Great job, little buddy.

Next cruise: Carnival Vista - July 2016
