tumblew467 Posted March 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2015 Hi, I have searched the threads and did not see an answer. I got new phones several months ago. Verizon sent us $100 on a rebate card. My husband has one from comcast for $200.(both have visa logo on them) It can be used as credit or debit per the paperwork that it came with. no ATM use. I wanted to know if anyone has used these kind of cards to put toward OBC. And how do you go about doing it. It would be nice to have the $300 for obc if it can be done. Thanks
candygirl27540 Posted March 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2015 I would think they are just like a credit card. Log on or call NCL and purchase OBC using the cards for the purchase. Should be easy.
Demonyte Posted March 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2015 Try purchasing OBC from MyNCL, you'll find out firsthand.

ColinIllinois Posted March 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2015 You can use them to pre-purchase but you cannot use pre-paid Visa cards/gifts cards onboard. Something to do with how the cruise lines put holds on credit cards.

I will pre purchase. ok, one other question .Now if for some chance the obc isn't all used up--do you lose it.
Demonyte Posted March 14, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 14, 2015 No, you'll get a refund check mailed to you but that usually takes weeks or even few months.

Thanks Those rebate cards are like prepaid visa/mastercards. And, they can not be used onboard. Use them at the grocery store, gas station, walmart instead. You MIGHT be able to use for prepayment. Call and try.
