Truffle Posted March 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 15, 2015 We were thinking that we might like to take a cab or water taxi to the Four Seasons Hotel in Bora Bora for lunch. I have no idea if taxis are available where the ship docks or tenders, and if so how far it is to the hotel. Has anyone done this or know how far it is? Rare Fletcher Posted March 16, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2015 The FS, like most of the major hotels, is not on the mainland where the dock is. The FS is on its own motu, so a taxi is not an option. Your best bet is to contact the FS directly and see if they can offer you something. Personally, I don't think it will be possible. I have done this from our expedition ships which offer a personalised zodiac landing craft to drop you off and pick you up. You always have to advise the hotel and get their consent. They really are isolated enclaves for their guests.
twin123185 Posted March 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2015 We know some folks who wanted to do this but it was extremely expensive. I wish I remembered how much. The FS has a shuttle from the dock. There are no water taxis.
jilly08 Posted March 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2015 If you can't get into the Four Seasons, you may want to check out this blog: http://www.pescadoamarillo.blogspot.com This couple spent many weeks sailing around Tahiti and visited Bora Bora several times. They spent a day at the St. Regis--she posted pictures as well. Jill
KruzeKrazy! Posted March 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2015 Yes - this is a great blog all about FP. Note regarding the St. Regis Bora Bora that they had a "special connection" that got them a day visit there. Not sure it's available to the general public like resorts on Tahiti and Moorea offer.
