Future Cruise Certificate

Hi, quick question - I have a "future cruise certificate" for Royal which I got following Quantum maiden - my UK travel agent tells me that they deduct the value of their commission that they lose by me using this voucher. Sure enough, the voucher does state to the travel agent that their commission is based on the "after voucher" price of the cruise.

But are they allowed to pass their reduction in commission onto me?

Some travel agents will reduce the perks they offer you since the perks come out of their commissions.

Hi reallyitsmema, I suppose that seems logical.

I'm not convinced by their authority to reduce a certificate value though (but I would say that wouldn't I :) )

They can't reduce the certificate value as far as I know.
