Is there an airport hotel that is near a grocery store for getting pop and wine?

Also what location is the best for IAH hotels? We will catch shuttle at airport to go to port,

but we arrive in the late afternoon on a Saturday, and would like a hotel with restaurants

within walking distance. Thanks for your suggestions

There are two main roads exiting IAH. Will Clayton Pkwy to the east which has a few hotels but lacks many amenities for the traveler. It is more heavily used by the locals, plenty of park-n-rides but not much beyond fast food restaurants and limited hotel options.

The second exit is to the south on JFK Blvd. Plenty of hotel options and many convenient walkable restaurants and saloons because remember this is Texas. Look up the Red Roof Inn on JFK Blvd on google maps and you will see many other hotels around it and a Godfather's Pizza right next door.

A lot of great hotels over in Humble/Kingwood area that have airport shuttles. There are many GREAT places to eat and stores. Homewood Suites is a good one and there is a Courtyard, Holiday Inn, and a Candlewood Suites (kingwood). Humble has the mall and restaurants nearby and hotels are Fairfield Inn, Country Inn and Suites, and Hampton Inn.

As for JFK, there are a lot of fast food places and gas stations but no grocery store. There are hotel bars/restaurants and some other cafe type places to eat. DoubleTree is good and so is the Sheraton Airport and Springhill Suites Airport.

The hotels on Will Clayton have gas stations and fast food around them but they will also shuttle you to the restaurants over in Humble or surrounding area. Sleep Inn is a good location.
