Pearl Panama Canal Aft or Fwd?

That's the question. Which is better going through the Panama Canal on the Pearl? Aft or Fwd?

Been through the Canal before on the Star and had Starboard balcony. However, this will be the first time for my niece.

So, which way should I go this time.....Aft SF or Forward SE?

Thanks!

My personal preference would be forward.

Ditto - the view from the forward facing ones is more spectacular. But be aware that the forward facing cabins/suites are usually picked up very early - so you have to be "quick". Same with the aft facing ones, but aft there are usually more cabins and categories to choose from than forward facing ones...

We just did this cruise again in Jan. and had an aft cabin in order to get 180 degree view plus you will have a ship behind you see what thos forward will see.

It is very hot and humid so those on the upper decks can't stay out very long.

So another advantage to aft is that you can go in and out of your cabin.

Thanks for your replies. I know both would be great and just need to decide which is best. On my Star cruise I did a B2B with a starboard balcony, however, the Captain invited us up to the bridge and we were there for over two hours and that was unbelievable! However, as this is the first time for my niece I need to decide Aft or Forward! LOL

If the aft is a wrap-around I would say definitely go for the aft. You will get a lot more use out of your aft balcony on sea days, I have stayed in a few acts and they are out of the wind.

The aft on the Pearl is not a wrap-around. That's the first thing I checked.

Cruising through the Panama is VERY hot....the wind might be welcomed!
