We have a gondola ride booked and have to get from the cruise port to the Teatro La Fenice. I'm looking for the easiest way to get there. Also, we have to be there at 3 pm so when should we leave the ship so we can get there on time.

Thanks for your help.

What is easiest to one person may not be what is easiest for others. Do you have any limitations? Probably the easiest would be to pay for a private water taxi who will take you as close as possible to the Teatro. Water taxis can be expensive. The "public bus" type boat is called a vaporetto and offers relatively inexpensive transit along the grand canal where you would need to exit the boat at the closest stop and then walk to the Teatro. Finally, the least expensive, would be to walk it if you're able. You'd need to be able to follow a map and/or ask for directions along the way. It can be confusing to walk in Venice since virtually all routes involve multiple changes of direction, but it is a very walkable city. If you allow enough time, walking is very pleasant if weather is good.

I also wanted to point out that you can easily arrange a gondola ride from many, many locations in Venice as you are out walking around. You do not need to pre-book them.

You might want to rethink. As MeHeartCruising said, there is no need to prebook. la Fenice is not on a main canal but there are 3 canals within a few yards.

Take the people mover tram to Piazza de Roma and the No 2 express vaporetto to Rialto . Rialto to La fenice is 500 yards. Allow an hour. Buy a vaporetto pass for the time you will be in Venice

The first screenshot shows the Rialto Vaporetto stop from the Grand Canal. The second shows the very crowded quayside. High up on the building is a yellow sign 'per San Marco'. La Fenice is on the way.

It's a pleasant walk, about 45 minutes from the ship.

Allow a little extra time in case you get "lost", which is all part of the experience.

There are discreet signs on corners of buildings directing you to Rialto Bridge or San Marco etc

It is a beautiful theatre.
