Bathrooms in Athens,Istanbul and Kusadasi

Recommended Posts

I am going on the Grand Princess Oct 17th. I have booked my tours through Princess. My tours are: Acropolis & Plaka in Athens, St. Sophia,Topkapi Palace Museum, Blue Mosque, Hippodrome and Underground Cistern in Istanbul and Ephesus, St John Basilica and House of Virgin Mary in Kusadasi. My question is do these tours make bathroom breaks and are there bathrooms at any of these sites.

I don't believe there is a washroom in the underground Cistern, but I could be wrong. But you're usually only down there for half an hour at most.

I'm pretty sure I used a washroom at Topkapi, and since I have no gruesome memory, it was probably okay.

Sorry, that's all I remember, it was hot, so despite all the water I drank, not many bathroom breaks were needed.

Bathrooms at Ephesus for sure!!! Don't worry about the other stops because ships' tours are usually very bathroom conscious! I was pleasantly surprised that in general, Turkey's facilities were quite nice! Have a great time! I think it's still my favorite part of the world!

There are bathrooms at St.Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Underground cistern, Ephesus (not at the site but at the upper and lower gates), museum of Ephesus and at the House of Virgin Mary. They are clean and modern, but you have to pay arround US$ 0.50 to use them.

Nanette: I left you a message here yesterday but I do not see it today so will try again. No, we did not drop off the face of the Earth! When we moved into the Condo in March I switched to DSL and promptly lost my address book from Dial Up. We have just booked an anniversary cruise for Feb. of '07 on the Norwegian Crown (formerly the Crown Odyssey) to sail from Bueno Aires to Santiago,Chile for 22 days. Other than that we spent 46 days this summer touring the United States. Seventeen days was an escorted tour of the Western National Parks with GCT and then the balance was us driving over 4200 miles in the South, Midwest, and Eastern Seaboard. Next year, a trip to Chicago to check on elderly parents, a wedding in Vegas in May, then on to California, back home before going to Asheville, Louisiana, and Texas.

Of course I lost your email in the process so why not drop me a line at my NEW email: yakcir@hotmail.com?
