Going on cruise out of Basil-wonder if you have to have a chip on your credit card or will just a pin work to use ATM machines. thanks for your help

In November, our DEBIT card with just a mag stripe worked just fine. Just keep in mind that using a credit card in an ATM sets you up with a cash advance and the fees and interest that go with that. Debit card is the better way to go.

I didn't need a chip ATM (debit) card last March in Basel. I have only VERY RARELY seen chip-only ATMs.
