It seems that it come full circle from scanning only some to people to checking the missing people and now back to selective scanning. :confused:

On recent cruises they have asked several times at the muster for anyone whose card had not been scanned to raise their hand and then someone would come over and scan it.

Both drills are mandatory, are they going to come and hunt you down to complete them? No.

These little games being played to avoid them is very mature. :rolleyes:

They will be the first ones crying and screaming during a real emergency.

For us the muster drill is part of the cruise "routine". It's never even occurred to us to try to avoid it..

I just avoided to have mine scanned to see what would happen one cruise a while back.

Nothing.

On another subsequent trip about 2 years ago, they called my name for a makeup along with 50 other people.

On the last trip we arrives late & only received a letter spelling out the talk.
