St Petersburg, Sat and Sun

Recommended Posts

Celebrity Eclipse ports in St. Petersburg on a Saturday and Sunday. Can anyone tell me what palaces, museums or churches are closed or have restricted entry on Saturday and Sunday. We intend to take a private tour, but would like to know about our limits in advance.

There are a great many museums in St. Petersburg and you did not mention which ones you wish to visit.

Below are the most frequently visited sights/museums:

Hermitage – Closed Monday

Peterhof Grand Palace – Closed Monday

Catherine Palace – Closed Tuesday (& last Monday of Month)

Russian Museum – Closed Tuesday

Church on Spilled Blood – Closed Wednesday

St. Isaacs Cathedral – Closed Wednesday

Peter & Paul Fortress (including Cathedral) – Closed Wednesday

Yusupov Palace – Open daily

Faberge Museum - Closed Friday

I would say all the major tour companies in St Petersburg, if they say you will visit a certain venue like a museum, they all know when they are open and closed and will adjust any tour to make sure you see what you are supposed to see. If there is something in particular, that you want to see, you need to ask the tour company how they would handle that.

I believe just about every venue is open on the weekends.

Cheers
