Hello

I just booked april 2(but was on hold until yesterday) for a hawaii cruise. I did pay in Canadian. I looked on the website today and in US dollars it went down by $60.00 but they say they don't see it. I have been looking at other travel places in Canadian dollars and it is even cheaper then what i got it for.

Big question: Has anyone else had this happen? I did take pics of it. Also would any other Canadians suggest transfering it to a Travel agent here in Canada. Is there anyother benefits for doing this.

Thank you

hopefully you know what i mean

I used a PCC to book our cruise (in CAD$). I've used two different travel agents in the past, and speaking from my personal experience only, we received no extra perks from booking through a TA, and the TA didn't do anything I could not have done myself. I found that my TA would take awhile to respond to emails, and didn't work evenings or weekends, so if a price drop happened during those times, or was only there briefly, we would have missed getting the lower price. That was a big reason I chose to book directly through NCL ... you could call anytime. Therefore, my opinion is that there's no benefit to switching your booking to a TA, but perhaps if you find someone offering a good incentive to use them, or a significantly cheaper price it might be.

The price on my next trip has only gone up since booking, so I can't comment on the price drop not being recognized, sorry.

I once sent a screen shot to a PCC I happened to be on the phone with at midnight (not my regular PCC, whose middle name is "no"). That midnight PCC accepted that price and was able to change my booking to reflect it.

He said sometimes there are specials related to where you live that do not show up for them on their end..,

Have to agree. NCL PCC was terrific once I called regarding price drop. He changed the paperwork immediately and also passed on the extras included with the price drop.

Prices on my cruise have just gone down again and am waiting a reply to see if I am eligible for this one

Depends on the TA, just like it depends on the PCC. My TA was incredible and got me free upgrades, price adjustments or OBC every time there was a price drop. This time I'm waiting until it gets closer to the sail date to book.
