Kiwicruiser25 Posted April 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2015 (edited) I just logged in to post this question as well. She was back on to the mountain in Tauranga the day before as well. Maybe they are training someone on the Bridge ? just a thought !! Still curious to find out why though..... Also Sun Princess was due in Bay of Islands today Sat 11 April 2015, but seems to have missed this stop, and is heading back to Sydney. Marine Traffic shows her track going straight past the Bay of Islands.Weather looks OK , as does the Tasman crossing.

I asked the Port of Auckland on Facebook last night about why she was in backwards and this is what they said to me: "They (Sun Princess) asked us, they needed to lower her starboard lifeboats into the water for maintenance." Also Sun Princess was due in Bay of Islands today Sat 11 April 2015, but seems to have missed this stop, and is heading back to Sydney. Yes, the Sun Princess, Sea Princess and Oosterdam have all missed ports of calls today. (Sea Princess was meant to be in Fiordland, Oosterdam was meant to be in Port Chalmers. Sea Princess & Oosterdam are now all on there way back to Australia via the Cook Strait). Apparently all because of the weather/seas, according to a port agent I am in contact with. Thanks for checking that out Kiwi_cruiser, glad to hear it wasn't anything more serious. :)
