Can I bring someone to the Premier Cruise M&G on the first evening?

Can I bring someone to the Premier open bar party on the first evening if they're not staying in my cabin?

I don't think so. Everyone will be wearing their premier card holder. But if it is just yourself then give it a try. I wouldn't try to take more than one other person in. The party only last about 45 minutes.

Who pays for the open bar?

The open bar and hors d'oeuvres are part of the premier casino activities and typically occur on embarkation day as a welcome aboard event. The details and invitation are delivered to your cabin on embarkation day, and then other event invitations and other gifts are delivered to your cabin throughout the cruise. Normally the premier perks are extended to the casino invited guest and whoever they are sharing their cabin with (gambling age restriction applies).

I obviously have no idea what a premier cruise is. I thought it was a group thing where everyone paid to have an open bar:o

A premier cruise has special drawings for those booked under it. You receive free drinks in the casino while playing for the entire cruise. Your drink card will be in your cabin when you arrive on the ship. You also recieve a gift in your cabin almost every night of the cruise. The open bar welcome party is about 45 minutes or so and free for the premier cruising guests. It is a really nice time and I feel carnival treats the premier guests very well.

I agree Carnival does treat their premier guests very well, our next cruise is a Premier cruise, the reason why we are going. :p

We are going on one May 8th on the Valor. How about you? We also just went on an elite casino cruise.......now there they treat you like royalty.

We are also on the May 8th Premier Cruise. Have only been on one other and had a great time. I even won a raffle for $600. Have yet to do an Elite Cruise.

See you on board.:)

Yes May 8 is our cruise we are on the same one. What is an elite casino cruise, only heard of the premier, is the elite the super premier cruise or is that something different? lol

We just did an elite on the breeze. It is the highest casino cruise (above the ultra). Free drinks anywhere on the ship. A free excursion and either car service from the airport or paid parking at the port. It is limited to 40 guest and their traveling partners per cruise. So many free things to describe here. Would you be interested in a meet before the premier cocktail party? Then we can tell you all that went on. And get our party started.

OK, we'll look in on the casino bar area. If we see someone holding an informative session about Casino Cruises we'll know it's you...then we'll jump right in.:D

Where do they hold the cocktail party at.....

There will be someone in the casino before sailing to let you know. It is held in one of the show rooms. Look for the premier casino table in the casino, someone from carnival should be there.

All the info is in your cabin when you check in. I went on my first Premier cruise on 11/29 and am going on one 5/31 (both solo). I was told that if I had a friend join me, they would get all the amenities except the casino cash.

So, someone can join you IF they're in your cabin.

This is what was in the cabin upon check in. Note the list of activities. I'm guessing the cocktail invitation was in the black envelope in the front of the picture. The black card on the lanyard is the casino drinks card.

My husband and I just came home from a Premier Cruise off the Pride. We have had more fun on a non Premier Cruise than this one.

The goodies were OK but the casino was SUPER crowded! The dealers were over worked and not that friendly. In fact, when I was talking to the casino host someone came up and asked her why she was ignoring them. She said there are 150 premier people on this ship and if I talked to everyone I would never sleep.

Honestly the same perks we received on the premier are just about the same perks we get on a regular cruise ie. dinner at the steakhouse, wine, cookies, DOU card and lots of attention in the casino.
