Mommu98 Posted April 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2015 We will be sailing from San Diego to Ensenada, a three day cruise. Does anyone know if DCL decorates and celebrates the Halloween season on a short cruise like this? (Fingers crossed) oh, we are cruising on the Wonder. Shmoo here Posted April 14, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 14, 2015 We will be sailing from San Diego to Ensenada, a three day cruise. Does anyone know if DCL decorates and celebrates the Halloween season on a short cruise like this? (Fingers crossed) oh, we are cruising on the Wonder. Well, this past year DCL extended their "Halloween on the High Seas" activities to, pretty much, a full month. We cruised in September on both the Dream & Fantasy and "Halloween" on each cruise. While not officially on the DCL website, it's thought that this year will be the same. So, I'm going to hazard a guess that, yes, you will have Halloween on your cruise. moki'smommy Posted April 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2015 As above, no official announcement yet, but last year the "season" was 5-6 weeks depending on the ship.
trnsfrguy Posted April 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Last year I was on the Dream from 9/11 - 9/14 and the ship was fully decorated for "Halloween on the High Seas". We didn't expect it or even know about until we received the booklet with our luggage tags. The booklet says Halloween on the High Seas all over it. moki'smommy Posted April 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2015 2 years ago they did a trial run on the Dream only. Then last year it was on all ships, all cruises from mid-September (slight variation in dates depending on the ship) till Halloween. This is slow season normally, so Halloween on the High Seas represented a "thing" to stir up some excitement and encourage bookings. My suspicion is that it will be much the same this year as far as dates are concerned, but until we have an official announcement nothing is certain.
