Debarking early for Carnival excursions?

I'm on a cruise next month and I've booked 2 excursions through Carnival. One excursion starts at 8AM and I want to make sure that we'll be able to get off the boat in time because I've heard debarking takes quite a while. Is there early debarkation for guests who are going on excursions?

Sorry if this is a silly question - I'm new to cruising and new to CC. Thanks for your help!

If you are diamond, platinum or have fttf, you can get off quickly by going to guest services. Otherwise, unless it is a tender port, I think it is first come, first serve. If a tender port, you need to get a number. They will publish this in the fun times when and where to get these numbers

I think you have nothing to worry about. Its a Carnival sponsored excursion. My guess is they will gather you all together and get you off the ship as a group in plenty of time to make the excursion.

You will often get instructions on how to meet for your excursion. If your ticket just says to meet on the pier at a certain time then you probably have plenty of time to debark normally and look for someone holding up a sign with the name of your excursion. Otherwise you may be directed to meet in a showroom or lounge to be escorted off as a group.

The answer is yes...if Carnival booked the excursion and it has an early start you will probably be directed to meet on the ship and the tour will handle all the debark details.

For what its worth...a port debark, even on the big ships takes very little time. I've seen most ships clear in half an hour. Tenders...a bit longer but they offload several hundred at a time and they have it down to a science. Maybe an hour and 15 minutes to offload the ship.

Except when they have to take 3 souvenir photos of each person before letting them off of the gangway.
