Help with cabin choice

Hi all, I am hoping you guys can help me out. This is our first time booking a cruise with NCL and I know nothing about the ships. I have been readin through reviews on here trying to figure out our best option for a cabin. We want a balcony and I have seen and read how tiny they are. There are no more large balconies available for the sailing we chose. I have a courtesy hold on cabin 11240 right now. This seems to be a cabin on the hump. Does anyone know if this is a good choice for cabin?. Please let me know whatever you may know as far as balconies go. Thanks!

Oh yeah that would help lol the Getaway

I checked on cruise deck plans dot com and according to them cabin 11240 does have an angled balcony that provides a "little more space" than a normal balcony does. Unfortunately there's no photo to verify this, but they are normally very reliable so I see no reason to doubt their information. I'm sorry I can't give you anything more concrete to base an opinion on. Good luck with your choice, I hope it works out for you! :)

I have that same angled balcony booked for our August cruise! Everything I read here on Cruise Critic about these angled balconies made me want to try one. We have been on this ship before and yes, regular balconies are not very big but we enjoyed it anyway. Just wanted to try one of these angled ones. Perhaps someone who has been in one can post a picture?

Using the search feature on the NCL thread, I found this information on your cabin and angled balconies.

Also if you are interested in privacy on your balcony, watch out for those balconies on deck 8 and 9 just forward of the Waterfront. Folks on the Waterfront can look onto some of these balconies. Some feel it's moot. I prefer to let the pax decide.

These cabins IMO include 8780 - 8770, and one deck up 9786 - 9778. And of course their mirror sisters port side.

This can been seen in the above linked photo. http://www.flickr.com/photos/fotogra...n/photostream/
