FTTF, excursion, and Tendering question

My family and I are cruising in July on the Breeze. I brought a FTTF because I have two smaller kids, and I don't want to be waiting in lines with a 2yr old and 5yr old. This is our first time tendering so I'm trying to understand it. I know we will get priority tendering with FTTF in Grand Cayman, but we have a Carnival sponsor excursion scheduled in the Cayman also. Will we need to use the FTTF to get off the ship for the excursion or do Carnival have an area on the boat where we meet to get to our excursion & fttf will not be needed? How do we get back on the boat when the excursion is over? TIA for any information.

You will get a notice the NLT evening before your excursion telling you where to meet. You will not need the FTTF for this. Getting back to the ship you just go back to where you got off and wait for the next tender. No priority on return to the ship.

We were just in Grand Cayman and it was very easy both ways.

You do not use FTTF with any ship excursions. ON the ticket- will be stated the time and where on the ship you are to meet. You then will be escorted off the ship as a group.

There is NO FTTF benefit getting back on the ship. You will just join the end of the line, when you want to get back on the ship.

The location and time of meeting for a ship shore excursion is printed right on the ticket. You aren't notified the night before.

Since you have FTTF and an excursion through Carnival, just extra security that you will get priority tendering... On thing to keep in mind is you may have a little bit of a wait once you are on the tender until it fills up. Granted you will not be standing in line, but seated on the tender boat until it is full and then they depart the ship heading to the port.

Additional information- IF you have a full day in port and on a late ship excursion- there will be occasions where you do meet on the dock. In those cases- again, which is listed right on the excursion ticket, FTTF priority tender boarding could be used.

So we don't have to wait on the excursion group to head back. We can tender back to the ship as soon as it's over or we can explore a little then head back. Right?

Right, and there is plenty to explore near the port. Just remember to keep track of the time, because once the excursion drops you off the ship will no longer wait if you are late.

Many of the tours meet up at the port instead of on the ship, if so just go to the customer service desk and they will escort you to a tender. Then meet up in the port as described on the ticket. Someone will be holding up a sign with your excursion name on it. A lot of excursions have similar names so make sure the name on the sign matches your tickets.
