Shore excursions on Carnival Fantasy

I am trying to find fun things for the family with a 4yr old and 5 yr old. If we do the zoo on our own I have read its hard to find a cab back so what is the best way to get back? If its only a mile and half walk that is fine but is it safe with kids in tow?

Also how is the the shore excursion where you go in a small sub and go about 5-10 feet below? is it worth it? I am deciding between the zoo and this

this is the called the Sea and See tour.

thanks

Guess you're talking about the semi-sub in Nassau.

Actually, it was much better than I expected and would be great for those who don't snorkel.

Unlike going to an aquarium, you move though the water and see lots of pretty fish, etc. which gives you somewhat the feeling of snorkeling.

Your children might enjoy it lots more than going to the zoo. ;)

You can walk to the pirate museum from ship (close to downtown), that was always fun when my son was that age, then just walk to the public beach or around the shops. One of the best things about Nassau is walking around a bit, go to the museum then head back to ship and get great seats near the pool for the rest of the afternoon! Cheap port for us!!!
