Tipping for curbside porters ar barcelona

We are shortly going on a Med. cruise on the Emerald Princess.

 

We are making our own way to the pier from a hotel in the centre of Barcelona.(pre-cruise stay at the Majestic). We note that Princess recommends that we tip the curbside porters. We will have two large suitcases - any standard rate for these tips in euros ?

If they are large ones I would say 2 euro each. I know other's may disagree with me,but this is just my take.

Do Princess specifically refer to in Barcelona ? They may be suggesting the custom in US ports.

 

I never have in 4 sailings from Barcelona.

We of course normally do but at the pier in Barcelona they were moving so fast taking luggage it didn't happen...they didn't seem to mind...never had this experience.

Tipping is not as customary or expected as it is in the US.
