Last Sea Day

It is obvious by today that we are aft balcony kind of folks. We have spent the majority of our time here and we have absolutely loved it! As I mentioned before if we aren't hanging on our balcony we are in the Red Frog and sometimes the casino. I did a facial in the spa today. My daughters did a massage and a facial...and my mom had a pedicure. Had our last bottle of champagne with orange juice from the lido and so sipping mimosas most of the day. We took a peek at the ice sculpture at the main pool. Impressive! It is super hot today though and I just can't imagine spending the day at the main pool with the crowds and the heat! To each their own, however. It's your cruise...so pick your space and settle in. Tonight half our group is going to the steakhouse. $35 a person. You can also now order a steak in the MDR for $20. Be home in Denver tomorrow evening and will finish up review and many more pics soon after! It's been a great time on the Freedom!

I hope you made it home Ok. My wife flew thru Denver yesterday and they told her Snow was in the forecast.

Last night of the cruise is time for good-byes and thank you's! We had exceptional service (and some ok service but more about that later). But, the absolute best is the crew from the Red Frog! Spend your time here and you won't regret it!

Wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of the the Red Frog Pub crew. IGede and Patrick are top notch guys.

Continued review.....

Cabin and Steward

Our cabin was fantastic. 8450....totally worth every penny to be aft and glad I found this double wide. Spent a lot of time here. Our steward was just so, so. He didn't know any of us in our 3 cabins by name and my mom said she never saw him. He was outright rude to my brother confronting him about smoking on the balcony (which he did not!) Our room was basically cleaned but a few things were missed every day. Most noticeable was the issue with drinks and dishes. We basically had to gather any dishes together and make it very obvious we were done. I'm not impressed with having to even empty my water glass from the night stand in order for him to take it. Dishes in the hall would sometimes be ignored for 24 hours.

Room Service

Same menu (not the pay one yet) I love the bagel and salmon! Glad to still have this. Was always prompt and according to time requested.

Food

MDR

Great food, great service. I like the new menu...often tried the Port of Call suggestion. Could always have the basics if you didn't see anything. Teens in our group had the chicken breast and pork chop a few times. My husband and son like to eat. They often ordered multiples and this was never a problem. My mom likes milk with dinner and after the first night it was always waiting for her. We ate in the MDR every night except 1.

Buffet

Really no reason to eat here IMHO. We did a few times for breakfast but mostly stuck to the other options. People in our group like the dessert area though. We also enjoyed the grill for breakfast to help with lack of breakfast options.

Other food....

Guy's and Iguana Cantina were both great. Don't forget you can get breakfast burritos at the Iguana! Salsa bar is great too. My daughter liked the Fish and Chips. The Taste Bar was ok but we really could never figure out when it was open. We all loved the Pizza Pirate and the Deli. We didn't make it to the MDR for brunch and missed the Suess breakfast.

So, again....why bother with the plain Buffett??

Port days....

As a summary we went to Little French Key in Roatan, Xanitunich Mayan Ruins in Belize and scuba with Sea Robin in Cozumel.

All of our days were fantastic....even Belize day when the bus ride was 2 hours each way! The ruins was the only one we booked with Carnival. Little French Key is all it is hyped up to be and Eduardo with Sea Robin is a fantastic dive master...could not have asked for better!

That's about all. We had a great cruise. Ask any questions.

Well, right now it's pretty rocky...last night too. The waters are a little rough so I hope that it will stop

Did the Freedom stop Rockin after all? We just upgraded from deck 2 to deck 11 balcony in the spa area. I hope it did smooth out.

It was one of my more "rockin" cruises! Not sure if it was the waters or the ship. It did settle down the second half of the week but I did feel like it moved more than the Magic

Hey Steph7021. Looks like we might have been neighbors. We were in 7451 Aft with connecting balconies with our friends in 7449. What a great cruise! And the food? Great. Hope you had as good a time as we did!

We did! Not a single bad meal and loved our cabins!
