Turkey Cancelled - IS IT TRUE??

John Heald hasn't announced it yet and other lines haven't cancelled it.

 

For now I would say its a gogo but with various ports in Ukraine et al being cancelled who knows.

I wouldn't speculate on any port cancellations when the first cruise isn't for a year. I would actually be more worried about the economic situation in Greece than about anything in Turkey.

Somebody posted on our Roll Call that it wasn't on their Shipmate app anymore. I sure as heck wouldn't give a lot of credibility to an app.

 

And as mentioned, the first cruise for the Vista is a year away.

It hasn't been on the app at all and I booked the first day and added the cruise as soon as Shipmate added the itineraries. As long as Carnival still has it listed then no worries :D

I think that poster got Turkey mixed up with Baltimore.

It's still on my itinerary so i won't worry unless it disappears. I admit it is the one stop I am not really worried about losing.

Thought that they might be cancelling Thanksgiving Dinner on the REPO Cruise.

The itinerary may get changed at any time. On the Sunshine cruise 9 months out both Majorca and Monaco were lost and Turkey and Athens added. Personally I think that this was done to try and boost sales.

 

We were all altered to the fact by the ports changing on CC's website, so it looks like the App is having a blip and for now both Turkey's country and thanksgiving are safe.

 

There is no reason whatsoever not to travel to Turkey. I would add that I would be delighted if they pulled Uzmir and added Istanbul instead or even got read of Athens, horrible dusty place.

I wish that the last med cruise would've stopped in Croatia or Istanbul instead of Izmir
