SC_Floaters Posted May 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2015 We are sailing on the Summit this Sunday out of Bayonne. We have never cruised from here before and have a question(s). We start from Charleston on Saturday, Spend the night in Elkton, MD and have about 120 miles to the port on Sunday. Should we drop our luggage at ship then park and return to ship? Wine-O Posted May 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2015 I'm sure the new cruise port is similar to the old one -- there's a one-way road into the port/terminal. Drop off your luggage and pax at the terminal, then drive down the street to the parking area.

Wine-O Posted May 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2015 That was easy. ... Thanks We're driving up for our 31 May sailing, staying in Old Town Alexandria. I would plan to get to the port terminal around 11am, and you should be on the ship by 11:30. We have some friends on your sailing. If you haven't already, stop by the Roll Call and introduce yourselves. They are planning a lot of activities for the sea days, along with Sail Away right after the Muster Drill. Have a great cruise. Dennis & Sue Dennis and Sue, Not sure how familiar you are with Elkton, but there are two two neighboring towns with great places to eat; Chesapeake City and Northeast. Chesapeake City is about 15 minutes away with a quaint small town and several restaurants on the water (C&D canal) and there is "Woody's" in Northeast, known for their crabs! Enjoy your cruise and safe travels!
