HAL Anniversary Sale:

New free upgrade: Book an Ocean-view stateroom for the price of an Interior, or a Verandah for the price of an Ocean-view

 

I would like to book a Verandah, now my question is:

 

- Do I have to book an Ocean-view and I get a free upgrade to a Verandah?

 

or

 

- The price shown for a Verandah is the old price for an Ocean-view and i have to book a Verandah to get one...

Yes, you need to book the veranda. Hal and other cruise lines routinely up their prices during these so called "free"upgrades. It's like the "free" drink packages.
