Status of passengers

Recommended Posts

I may get flamed but what is the big deal about diamond.diamond plus and emerald status?

I understand the perks from attaining these status but it seems as though a lot of folks tend to lord it over others.

To me it seems that it is like bragging about how many air miles you have.

I f anyone can help me understand please do.

There really is no way to answer your question.

I love being D+ and it took me 11 years to get there. Yes, we get many perks and discounts, which is no different from any other consumer industry incentives for loyalty. I never mention my status, unless I'm asked. Funny last cruise a nice lady ASKED ME how many cruises I've taken. My response was a casual this is my 18th. Completely offended, she said OH you are one of those people!

I don't know how to count "a lot of folks". I drive a 7 year old Toyota, many folks drive Mercedes'. I'm not offended by the success of others and I really don't care how many points, miles, etc... that they have. Seems to me if you brag about anything, it's the bragger's insecurity not mine.

Enjoy your future cruises!
